How to turn off automatic hyperlinking: Hover over the bottom left edge of a hyperlink so that the on the "Autocorrect Options" icon appears. Click on the arrow to the right of the icon and check the "Stop Automatically Creating Hyperlinks" option.
Note: By default Word automatically inserts hyperlinks into your document this is great for linking documents but not useful when printing.
