Acceleration is defined as the change in
the rate of change of an object. In
physics acceleration is defined as the
rate of change of velocity and it is
measured in m/s/s.
So far with tweening
we have only created animations with
uniform motion. That is to say that the
"speed" the objects was constant. In the
following exercises you will learn how to
accelerate the motion of an object using
keyframes and tweening.

Exercise IKeyframe Acceleration
Step I
In the
first frame draw a circle, then align it to the
center of the stage.
Step II
Create
a blank keyframe in frame 24
Step III
Draw a
square in frame 24 and align to the center of the
stage.
Step IV
Click on the first frame then go to the "Properties"
panel and select "Shape" from the "Tween"
drop down menu.
This procedure ensures that
the shapes are not converted to symbols or movie
clips.
Exercise IKeyframe Deceleration
Step I
In the
first frame draw a circle, then align it to the
center of the stage.
Step II
Create
a blank keyframe in frame 24
Step III
Draw a
square in frame 24 and align to the center of the
stage.
Step IV
Click on the first frame then go to the "Properties"
panel and select "Shape" from the "Tween"
drop down menu.
This procedure ensures that
the shapes are not converted to symbols or movie
clips.
