What is tweening?
Is the automatic illustration of frames in between keyframes that give the affect of smooth animated motion when played as part of an ordered timeline.

Why is it called tweening?
The words "tweening" or "tween" come from the term inbetweening which was the illustration of frames in between keyframes when creating hand drawn animation.
