The TimeLine

What is a timeline ?

The timeline is the area in flash where you configure frames and keyframes.

The timeline displays frames in chronological order allowing the user to view the order of events in sequence. Layers are shown staked on top of each other with the top most layer in the timeline representing the highest level on which the frames are displayed.

The timeline contains information about frames and keyframes in the movie.

  • Current Frame: Shows the current frame as seen on stage.
  • Frames per second: indicates the frame rate (number of frames per second).
  • Length of Movie: Displays the remaining length of the movie in seconds
  • The playhead: The current frame that is being displayed on stage.

Note: To display a different frame on the stage select it in the timeline by left clicking on desire frame or dragging the playhead to the position on the timeline.
