Creating A Thick Text Outline

How to create a thick text outline:

Select the text you want to edit.
In the properties panel next to "Filters:" click on the "Add live filters or choose preset" button.
Then in the pop up menu go to Shadow and Glow > Glow.
In the filter editor window in the properties panel:
- Set the color to white e.g. "#FFFFFF".
- Set the "Softness" to "0".
- Set the "Opacity" to "100%"
Click on the properties panel to exit the filter editor.
