The sine function in Excel is written "SIN". The function accepts one argument in the form of radians and returns a value between -1 and 1.

 

How to use the SIN() function:

  • Type " =SIN( "
  • Enter the coordinate of the data cell "A3"
  • Type")" then press the "Enter" key. 
  

Note:  180 deg = p rads
