The LOG() Function Knowledgebase  

 

The function logb(x) is wirtten "LOG" in Excel. The function accepts a power in the forma of a number and returns the value of e raised to to that number.

  • The Syntax for the function is LOG(number, base) where "number" is the power that the "base" is raised to.

How to use the LOG() function:

  • Type " =LOG( "

  • Enter the coordinate of the "value" data cell "A2"

  • Type a comma.
  • Enter the coordinate of the "base" data cell "B2"
  • Type")" then press the "Enter" key.
