The Worksheet

A grid of rows and columns referenced using letters for columns and numbers for rows.

There are ... columns and 65536 rows yielding a maximum ..... cells.

Sheet Tabs

shows the names of work sheets or charts.

Tab scroll buttons

Jumps from one worksheet to the next and can skip to groups of worksheets at the beginning and end of the workbook.

Row Headings

Rows are designated by numbers increasing as the worksheet is descended.

Column Headings

Columns are designated by letters of the alphabet from A to Z from left to right.

column headings continue from AA to AZ and through to IZ.

Scroll Bars
Moves around the area of the active worksheet vertically and horizontally.

Grid Lines
Column and row boundaries form gridlines outline cells.

Each different excel file has its own windows task bar tab. To switch between excel files select the tab in the windows task bar.

When maximized the workbook window blends with the application window.
