The Absolute Value Function Knowledgebase  

 

The ABS() function calculates the absolute value of an argument. When a negative or positive number is entered into this function it returns the magnitude of the number.

 

How to use the absolute() function:

  • Click on the cell where you want the result to appear.
  • Type " =ABS( ".
  • Enter the numerical argument.
  • Type " ) " then press the "Enter" key.
 

 

How to use the absolute() function:

  • Click on the cell where you want the result to appear
  • Type " =ABS( ".
  • Enter the coordinate of the data cell.
  • Type " ) " then press the "Enter" key.
