• Right click on the cell you would like to format
• Select "Format Cells"
• In the Dialogue box choose the "Number" tab
• In "Category" select "Decimal"

This is when you have to be careful as you must be clear if you are to use these results in a second equation check the numerical formatting of the cell otherwise you will accumulate an error in your results.
