Preparing Data For Charts Knowledgebase
Why should i prepare my data?
Makes charting easyer, amalysis easyer.

How do I prepare my data for making charts?
To Traditionally dependent variables are placed on the left most column in excel with the independent variable in the next column to the left. Excel automatically assumes that the dependent variable is in the first column of data and so assigns it to the y axis and the next colum of data to the x axis. For every column after that Excel creates a new series as by default it assumes that each new column is a seperate independent varaible and therefor creates a new series of data points on the chart for it.
